Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Recipe Source: Love from the oven (Inspired by Levian Bakery)
Yields dozen giant/ 24 large cookies

1 cup cold, unsalted butter, cubed

1¼ cup white granulated sugar

2 large eggs

½ cup dark cocoa powder

2¼ cups all-purpose flour

¼ tsp. coarse salt (I used regular salt)

1 tsp. baking powder

2½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (I had only 2 cups, and that was good enough)

    • Preheat the oven to 350˚ F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

    • In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine the butter and sugar.  Beat together on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, 2-3 minutes.

    • Blend in the eggs one at a time, scraping down the bowl as needed. Mix in the cocoa powder until well blended.

    • Add the flour, salt and baking powder to the bowl and mix on low speed just until incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.

    • (You will get a very thick dough, which almost scared me, but as per intructions, I was expecting it. So don't worry.)

    • Now knead the dough slightly to combine all ingredients.

    • The instructions stated that the dough makes "giant" 12 cookies, and since I was not in a mood to make any giant creations; I halve the size of ball and made 24 large cookies. So as per your desire, divide the dough into equal sized balls.

    • Flatten them slightly and place them on the baking sheets.

    • Bake for 16-20 minutes. Let them cool on baking sheets before removing for 5-10 mins.

Share with friends and family and see the smile spread. As for me I'm waiting to see the blank expression change to delight with a bite of these little perfections.
