Hi, I'm 'Anamika', and this is my space to create and preserve memories. Specially memories of taste and smell.
I'm also an aspiring photographer, foodie, movie buff, love to write, read, blog and socialize. And that's why my blog is a 'melange' of all the things I love.




Based in Middle East for last 10 years, I call Dubai my home, though my heart is always in India. I have spent major part of last decade raising my 2 'not-so-small-anymore' kids. Professionally I'm from advertising and have spent over 12 years in different aspects of advertising and marketing.


How this blog started:
Growing up in India also means being born with love for food. The lovely country is so rich with its culinary offerings and wide variety, that you will be spoilt for choice. But that never translated into me getting into the kitchen, apart from the solitary 'tea and maggi' evenings. It was only after graduating to being a wife and mother, that cooking became a necessity, to ensure healthy lifestyle for all. Soon we moved to Dubai, and this is where my love for baking developed. After innumerable bookmarked sites and recipe cut outs, this blog was born, to streamline this growing passion. And I'm so thankful for that. Though I've not been as consistent about blogging, yet there's so much that I've learnt through this medium, that I can't wait to do more.

Bit of trivia:
  • My name means “no name” or anonymous. Also its the name of the ring finger
  • I love to collect boxes of all size and shapes.
  • I don't like color black
  • I love to plan holidays and parties. And thankfully with two kids, Im having fun planning new themes all the times. 'Candyland' – done, 'Spiderman' – done, 'Hello kitty' – done...you get the gist.
  • I'm a hill person. Not so much of beaches. But hills and cool breeze and I'm on top of the world.
  • My favourite cuisine is Indian...that too Mughlai and Punjabi. Chinese, Italian and Middle Eastern follow
  • I'm a brownie person, and not cake person. Warm, gooey chocolate walnut brownie with vanilla ice cream and drizzle of chocolate sauce is like bliss. I know you want it too right now...:)

Apart from blogging I also do food photography (you can see my work here), product and book reviews (related to food and travel), restaurant and travel reviews and I also do feature and food writing
